Materials/Construction for FlexRing Couplings Aluminum End Hubs These precise hubs are used on the #1 and #2 couplings. They are fabricated from strong, lightweight aluminum alloy castings, which have been alodine-treated to resist corrosion. High Impact Plastic Hubs These hi-tech, hi-impact hubs are used on the #3 and #4 couplings. They are strong, self lubricating, and non-corrosive, miking them a very acceptable coupling for many applications. Center Ring with Rubber Core A Hy-Car rubber insert is bonded securely to a center ring of .065"-wall aluminum tubing, eliminating metal-to-metal contact while cushioning shock, vibration and noise. FlexRing Couplings are relatively unaffected by dirt, moisture, oil, grease or mineral spirits.
