Smoother Running, Reduced Harmonic Resonance, Less Heat

Model for model, FlexRing Couplings are the quietest available, and provide vibration-free operation with very little heat build-up. They reduce and dampen resonance and harmonics encountered with some couplings; there's no rumble. Heat build-up is quickly dissipated due to the unique design of aluminum hub, flanges and ring.

The triangular configuration of the FlexRing hub provides maximum surface contact with the flexible, yet strong center ring. The tough rubber core not only assures a positive, slip-proof grip, but also provides the resilience to protect against shock and stress during start and stop, or due to misalignment in shaft connections. This means more efficient transfer of power from one shaft to another while compensating for misalignment. With this efficiency, FlexRing Couplings withstand intermittent overloads up to 50%, which is rarely achieved by competitive couplings. FlexRing Couplings work well on applications using low torque/high RPM and high torque/low RPM.

With proper selection, FlexRing Couplings will lengthen the service life of small motors and improve operating performance. In one equipment application, FlexRing Couplings have operated for over 20 years without replacement.

The flexible center ring's double-engagement action permits angular misalignment up to 6 degrees and considerable parallel misalignment up to .020" with less strain on the motor and shaft bearings. Some competitive couplings provide only 1 degree angular and .015" parallel misalignment.
